The unusual item, bought by communications agency Indeprod for £36,000 in 2005, is believed to be the one of the firm's most expensive assets.
The prop, used as the King of the Daleks in several episodes of the popular BBC television, had until now been a striking feature of the company's reception area.
Bidding at an auction to take place later this month is expected to start at £10,000.
The Dalek, also known as the Dalek Supreme, starred alongside popular Dr Who actor Tom Baker in the 1970s.
It was partially blown up in the 1979 episode Destiny of the Daleks and scorch marks from the stunt can still be found under its internal operator's seat.
Originally painted in black and grey, the wooden prop was re-painted blue and silver and included in a BBC display with a waxwork model of Tom Baker at Madame Tussaud's in London in 1980.
The item can be viewed at the Auction Centre, Stockport, Cheshire, from March 31.
Online bidding will start on March 31 and continue until 2pm on April 2.
